Mode of Action of Fipronil 0.3% GR
Fipronil is highly toxic to insects it acts by contact or ingestion of this insecticide by targeted insect. Fipronil blocks (γ-Aminobutyric acid) GABA-gated chloride channels in the central nervous system. Disruption of the GABAA receptors by fipronil, which prevents the chloride ions update resulting in excess neuronal stimulation and death of the target insect.
