Description
Mode of Action
It belongs to the triazine herbicide group and works by inhibiting photosynthesis in susceptible plants. When applied to the soil or foliage, Metribuzin is absorbed by the roots or leaves of target weeds. It then translocated throughout the plant, interfering with the photosynthetic process by disrupting electron transport and inhibiting the production of chlorophyll. This leads to a gradual yellowing and browning of the weeds, ultimately resulting in their death.
