Description
It is a combination insecticide containing Novaluron 5.25 % (a.i) and Emamectin benzoate 0.9% (a.i) in the formulation. It is used for the control of diamond back moth (dbm) & tobacco caterpillar on Cabbage, gram pod bores & tobacco caterpillar in Chilli, gram pod bores in red gram and stem borer in Rice.
Mode of action:
Novaluron is an insect growth regulator (IGR) having a unique mode of action of inhibiting chitin synthesis and targetting larval insect stages at the time of molting (abortive molting) and also has prolonged persistence, providing long-lasting control.
Emamectin benzoate acts if swallowed and has some contact action. It penetrates into leaf tissues (translaminar activity) and forms a reservoir within the leaf. It inhibits muscle contraction, causing a continuous flow of chlorine ions in the GABA and H-Glutamate receptor sites.
Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) Classification No.
- Novaluron: 15
- Emamectin benzoate: 6
Benefits:
- Dual-Action Control
- Broad-Spectrum Efficacy
- Longer Residual Activity
