α – Napthyl Acetic Acid 4.5% SL is an aqueous solution containing 4.5% (w/w) of the active ingredient Alpha-Napthyl Acetic Acid. It is a plant growth regulator used to induce flowering and prevent the shedding of flower buds and unripe fruits. It aids in fruit enlargement as well as increasing and improving fruit quality and yield.
When applied on crops, α-Naphthyl Acetic Acid 4.5% suppresses the production of ethylene gas in plant tissues, preventing the formation of the abscission layer. This helps reduce shedding of flowers, buds, and immature fruits, ensuring better fruit retention and enhanced productivity.
