Oxadiargyl inhibits the Protoporphyrinogen Oxidase (PPO) enzyme in susceptible weeds. This leads to the accumulation of toxic compounds within plant cells, causing membrane disruption, tissue necrosis, and eventual weed death shortly after germination or emergence.
