Gibberellic Acid Technical 90% w/w
Peptech Biosciences Limited (ISO 9001:2015) is pleased to announce that the Central Insecticide Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) has approved the grant of registration for the technical indigenous manufacture of Gibberellic acid technical 90% w/w minimum u/s 9(4).
The company has received the final approval from the registration committee in the 442nd RC meeting held on November 18, 2022.
Gibberellic acid is a hormone extracted from plants and fungi and is widely used as a plant growth regulator in agriculture. Gibberellic acid is a tetracyclic diterpenoid hormone that plays an important role in plants. It has an impact on stem elongation, germination, dormancy elimination, flowering, gender expression, enzyme induction, and leaf and fruit senescence.
The growing demand for high-quality vegetables and fruits has increased the use of gibberellin in agriculture. Farmers prefer this product because it promotes plant growth in uncontrollable and unpredictable environments. Gibberellins regulate cell elongation, stimulate extension growth, delay ageing, and speed up fruit production in plants.
The global gibberellins market was valued at USD 703.6 million in 2019 and is expected to grow at an 8.8% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) by 2025. Product demand is expected to be driven by the growing global population and decreasing agricultural land over the forecast period.
