Fipronil 0.3% GR is a phenylpyrazole-based broad-spectrum insecticide highly effective against major insect pests across various crops. It provides dual benefits not only delivering excellent pest control but also promoting plant growth enhancement (PGE) effects such as stronger root systems and a higher number of productive tillers, ultimately leading to improved yields.
Fipronil acts through contact and ingestion. It interferes with the γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-gated chloride channels in the central nervous system of insects. By blocking these channels, it prevents the uptake of chloride ions, causing hyperexcitation of the nervous system, paralysis, and death of the target pests.
