Description

Fipronil 0.6% GR is a phenylpyrazole insecticide formulated as granules, widely used for controlling major insect pests in crops like rice. Apart from its strong insecticidal action, it also promotes Plant Growth Enhancement (PGE) effects such as improved root development and more productive tillers, ultimately leading to higher yields.

Fipronil 0.6% GR is highly toxic to insects it acts by contact or ingestion of this insecticide by targeted insects. Fipronil blocks (γ-Aminobutyric acid) GABAA-gated chloride channels in the central nervous system. Disruption of the GABAA receptors by fipronil, which prevents the chloride ions uptake resulting in excess neuronal stimulation and death of the target insect.
