Copper sulphate 47.15% + Mancozeb 30% WDG, is a contact fungicide that controls almost all economically important fungal and bacterial diseases on a wide range of crops when used with a protective spray. It is a fungicide that combines Mancozeb and Copper Sulphate in wettable granule formulations. Fungicide’s multisite activity provides effective control of fungal and bacterial disease and is appropriate for resistance management programmes.
A fungicide composition based on dithiocarbamate and another fungicide compound, as well as an effective method for protecting plants from fungal diseases. The Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC)2 classifies Mancozeb as a multi-site, mode-of-action group M fungicide. It disrupts several biochemical processes within the fungal cell cytoplasm and mitochondria by interfering with enzymes containing sulphydryl groups. Fungal diseases can also be treated with copper fungicides. Copper ions kill pathogens that have not yet infected the plant by denaturing proteins and enzymes in their cells. They are non-selective and have no post-infection activity. Copper and Mancozeb combination is a commonly used bactericide and fungicide in agricultural production, providing growers with consistent control of a wide range of bacterial and fungal diseases.
