Description
It is a combination insecticide which constitutes Clorantraniliprole and Thiamethoxam as its active ingredients. It is a broad-spectrum, systemic insecticide, which is recommended to control leaf miner, whitefly & fruit borer in tomato and stem borer, leaf folder, green leaf hopper in rice nursery.
Mode of action:
Chlorantraniliprole is anthranilic diamides which is active on chewing insect pests primarily by ingestion and secondarily by contact. It is mainly a ryanodine receptor modulator which triggers the ryanodine channels. Once the ryanodine receptor activates, there is continuous flow of Calcium ions which causes paralysis and at sufficient doses results in insect death.
Thiamethoxam: It belongs to the neonicotinoid group of insecticides. It is a neurotoxin that targets the nervous system of insects, disrupting the normal functioning of their nerve cells.
Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) Classification No.
- Chlorantraniliprole: 28
- Thiamethoxam: 4A
Benefits:
- Complementary, dual modes of action for effective control of key sucking and chewing pests
- An innovative mode of action for lepidopteran control to assist with resistance management
- Excellent residual control and longer interval between applications
