Atrazine 50% WP is a systemic herbicide from a group called triazines. It is a specific type of chlorotriazine herbicide with formulation of adjuvants and a 50% active component of atrazine. It is used to treat broadleaf weeds before as well as after sprouting. It is also used to treat several grassy weeds.
Atrazine 50% WP interferes with photosynthesis in some broadleaf plants and grasses. Because it is systemic, it is absorbed by the plant’s roots and leaves and moves upward to areas of new growth. The plant withers and dies. Plants’ older leaves may be more affected than new leaves.
