Chlorantraniliprole 8.8% + Thiamethoxam 17.5% SC is a broad-spectrum, systemic insecticide containing two powerful active ingredients Chlorantraniliprole and Thiamethoxam. This unique combination provides both contact and systemic action, delivering superior control over a wide range of chewing and sucking insect pests. It is highly effective against leaf miners, whiteflies, and fruit borers in tomato, and stem borers, leaf folders, and green leafhoppers in rice nurseries.
Chlorantraniliprole: Belonging to the anthranilic diamide group, it acts primarily through ingestion and secondarily by contact. It targets the ryanodine receptors in muscle cells, causing uncontrolled release of calcium ions. This leads to paralysis and eventual death of the insect.
Thiamethoxam: A member of the neonicotinoid class, Thiamethoxam acts as a neurotoxin, binding to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) in the insect’s nervous system, causing overstimulation, paralysis, and death.
