Description

This formulation of fungicide containing Fluopicolide and Fosetyl controls Downy mildew disease in grapes. It gives long-term protection due to its unique and different mode of action.

Benefits:

  • Shows rapid action on downy mildew fungus
  • Stimulates the natural defence system of the plant
  • Reduces the risk of resistance development
  • Effectively controls pests that are already resistant to other chemicals
  • Provides excellent protection during the flowering stage

How does it work

It works through three different ways i.e., systemic, contact and translaminar action. It disrupts spectrin proteins in fungal cells, not allowing them to grow on the substrate. This is a unique mode of action that is not seen in other oomycete fungicides. In addition, it targets critical stages of the fungal life cycle and affects zoospores rapidly to stop infection and prevent further spore production.

Recommendations:

It is recommended to apply this at 3 to 4 leaf stage as soon as Downy Mildew symptoms appear. This is considered as the best suitable option at the flowering stage, which is the most sensitive stage. Repeat the application 2 to 3 times in a season with a 10 to 15 days interval depending upon disease severity.
