Description
Mode of action
Imazethapyr 70% WG is an herbicide that belongs to the imidazolinone family. It works by inhibiting the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), which is essential for the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids. This leads to the disruption of protein synthesis and eventually to plant death. Imazethapyr is a broad-spectrum herbicide that is effective against a wide range of weeds, including annual grasses, broadleaf weeds, and some woody plants.
