Description
Mode of action
Picoxystrobin 22.52% SC belongs to FRAC Group 11. It is a quinone-outside inhibitor (QoI). QoIs are chemical compounds that bind to the quinone outer binding site of the cytochrome bc1 complex. Picoxystrobin binds to ubiquinol oxidase, a respiratory protein. The QoI compounds prevent the growth of plant pathogenic fungi by inhibiting cell respiration. They inhibit electron transfer in the mitochondria.
Picoxystrobin 22.52% SC is an antifungal agrochemical that inhibits the mitochondrial cytochrome-bc1 complex. It is an aromatic ether, an enoate ester, an enol ether, pyridine, an organofluorine compound, and methoxyacrylate strobilurin antifungal agent.
