Description
It contains Spinosad 2.5 % SC which is a biological insecticide, a naturally derived product from the fermentation of the actinomycete Saccharopolyspora spinosa. It is extensively used for the control of resistant Helicoverpa in Cotton and Red gram.
Mode of action:
The specific mode of action of spinosad is to alter the function of nicotinic and GABA-gated ion channels, causing rapid excitation of the insect nervous system, leading to involuntary muscle contractions, tremors, paralysis, and death.
