Bensulfuron Methyl 0.6% + Pretilachlor 6% GR is a broad-spectrum, pre-emergence granular herbicide used primarily for paddy (rice) cultivation. It effectively controls a wide range of broadleaf weeds, sedges, and annual grasses during the early growth stage of the crop. The combination of two active ingredients provides long-lasting weed control and ensures a healthy start for the crop.
Pretilachlor: Rapidly absorbed by the hypocotyls, mesocotyls, and coleoptiles of emerging weeds. It acts as a cell division inhibitor, preventing germination and emergence of susceptible weed species.
Bensulfuron Methyl: Absorbed through the roots and shoots of germinating weeds, where it inhibits the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, disrupting amino acid synthesis and effectively stopping weed growth.
Together, these ingredients target both grassy and broadleaf weeds, providing long-duration control with minimal crop injury.
