Cyantraniliprole is a systemic and translaminar insecticide from the anthranilic diamide group (IRAC Group 28). It provides preventive and curative protection against a wide range of chewing and sucking pests, including caterpillars, thrips, whiteflies, and aphids. Its unique action on insect muscle contraction causes rapid feeding cessation, ensuring crop protection soon after application.
Cyantraniliprole activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscle cells, leading to uncontrolled calcium release. This disrupts muscle function, causing paralysis, feeding cessation, and ultimately insect death.
