2,4-D amine salt 58% SL belongs to the phenoxyacetic acid herbicide group. It is a selective, systemic, post-emergence herbicide. It is effective against broadleaf weeds in sorghum, maize, wheat, aquatic weeds, potatoes, sugarcane, and non-cropped areas.
2,4-D amine salt is absorbed through the leaves and roots and translocated via the xylem and phloem to all parts of the plant. It acts as a synthetic auxin, disrupting normal hormone balance. This leads to uncontrolled and disorganized cell growth, twisting of stems and leaves, and eventual destruction of broadleaf weeds.
