Description

Aminofert-Ferrous (Ferrous Amino Acid Chelated Powder) is formulated for foliar application to prevent or correct iron deficiency that can limit plant growth and reduce yield. The formulation is non-toxic to plants when used as directed. It is approved for organic production.

Aminofert-Ferrous contains 12% iron (Fe) and 30% amino acids (as protein hydrolysate). It is a light cream to off-white, free-flowing powder that is completely water-soluble, forming a clear solution.

Deficiency Symptoms:

  • Interveinal chlorosis (yellowing between leaf veins) while veins remain green, especially on young leaves.
  • Reduced leaf size and thin, pale foliage.
  • Slower growth rate and reduced tillering in cereals like wheat and paddy.
  • Poor flowering and fruit set.
  • In severe cases, leaves may turn almost white, and plant vigor declines sharply.

Method of Application & Dosage

Crop(s) Target / Benefit Dosage & Application Guidelines
Field Crops & Vegetables Increases growth rate, dry matter accumulation, and yield. 200-400 gm/acre during periods of rapid growth or nutritional stress. The application can be repeated twice or more times during the growth season starting from bud to fruit setting.
Tree Crops Increases growth rate, dry matter accumulation, and yield. 200-600 gm/acre after the beginning of active growth. The application may be repeated at 2 to 4 weeks intervals through the growth season.
Grapes & Berries Increases growth rate, dry matter accumulation, and yield. 200-400 gm/acre after active growth begins. The application can be repeated at intervals of one week or more during the vegetative growth period starting from bud to fruit setting.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

What is Ferrous Amino Acid Chelate 12% used for?

Ferrous Amino Acid Chelate 12% is a chelated micronutrient fertilizer formulated to correct iron deficiency, improve chlorophyll production, and restore healthy green growth in a wide range of crops.

Why is iron chelated with amino acids? +

Amino acid chelation keeps iron readily available for plant uptake, improving its absorption and movement within the plant. This allows faster correction of iron deficiency compared to many conventional iron sources.

Which crops can benefit from Ferrous Amino Acid Chelate 12%? +

It is suitable for fruits, vegetables, cereals, pulses, oilseeds, plantation crops, ornamentals, and other agricultural and horticultural crops, especially those grown in alkaline or calcareous soils where iron deficiency is common.

What deficiency symptoms can Ferrous Amino Acid Chelate 12% help correct? +

It helps manage iron deficiency symptoms such as interveinal chlorosis in young leaves, pale foliage, reduced photosynthesis, stunted growth, and poor crop vigor caused by inadequate iron availability.

What are the key benefits of Ferrous Amino Acid Chelate 12%? +

It rapidly corrects iron deficiency, enhances chlorophyll formation, restores healthy green foliage, improves photosynthetic efficiency, promotes vigorous plant growth, and supports better crop quality and higher yield potential.
